Hidden Light

With a gusty breeze and temper foul
A grayness settles against the shining ray.
The land besieged and under shadow's cowl
Pray to send away for another day.

Gloom and shade of bitter times
Holds the moment trapped through pattern's role.
The mind's dance of yesterday's rhymes
The Light, the warmth, hidden by an apocalypse of the soul.

Yet from that same grayness comes,
Glinting of fay, a gentle sparkling dew.
When storms are passed and thunder no more drums
Shines forth the hidden Light's goal - a call to sing and renew.
